Identification
Adults can grow up to 85 cm in length. Round nose with barely any ridge between eyes and snout. Coloration variable, ranging from entirely yellow to turquoise blue or green with lighter belly and sides of head. Eyes are often red.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia and is endemic to Indonesia, being found on smaller islands from Bali to Timor and east Java. Lives in humid and dry tropical rainforests and woodlands, up to 1500 meters.

Status : The species still has a large range but has been collected on many islands for international trade. It could also be vulnerable to habitat loss.
