Identification
Adults can reach up to 200 cm in length with females being larger than males. Fairly long triangular head with rounded nose. Head patternless with nasal scales fused in a plate. Coloration from khaki to grey with black to orange blotches.
Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Species found in Algeria, Tunisia, Cyprus, and from Turkey to Pakistan, north to Kazakhstan. Lives in many kinds of arid habitats with rocks and small trees for shelter.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has a wide range but many of its populations are declining. It is listed on appendix II of Berne convention and likely soon uplisted to Near Threatened by IUCN.
