Identification
Very large python reaching up to 4 meters in length. Broad head, fairly slim body with small smooth scales. Coloration usually uniform olive-green to chocolate brown. Belly is creamy colored. Lips are clear, eyes are brown.
Range and habitat
The species is endemic to Australia and occurs in the northern parts of the country (north Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland and Pilbara). Lives in rocky areas and gorges in woodlands and forests, near water sources.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species isn’t considered to be threatened and has a large range. It isn’t really affected by habitat loss or catching for the trade.
