Identification
Slender-bodied species, reaching up to 120 cm in length. Elongated head with large round eyes. Coloration usually uniform bright green on back and upper flanks, turning to yellowish-green on lower flanks and belly.

Range and habitat
This species occurs in south-east Asia, from north-east India and southern China to Peninsular Malaysia. Restricted to forests near water, at altitudes from 500 to 2500 meters.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is globally uncommon in its large range. As a forest specialist, it is locally affected by intense deforestation.
