Identification
Slender-bodied snake with long prehensile tail, reaching a body length of 2 meters. Head distinct from neck with large eyes with vertical pupil. Body coloration bright green to blue-green. Head sometimes bluer or even brown.
Range and habitat
South-East Asia from extreme Eastern India to South China in the Yunnan Province, south to Indochina and Malaysia. Lives in woodlands, forests and wooded grasslands up to 2100 meters.

Status : This species is very widespread and common. Deforestation occurs within its range but the species seems to be quite tolerant to habitat change.
