Identification
Adults can reach up to 80 cm in length. Slender body, long head with big eyes. Ground coloration is grey to reddish or green-grey with slight iridescence on flanks. Irregular dark blotches on back.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the Bahamas Archipelago, in Little Bahama Bank (Grand Bahama, Great Abaco, Little Abaco, Green Turtle Cay, Elbow Cay, Tilloo Cay). Lives in grasslands and woodlands with rocky outcrops.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species has a very small range. It is threatened by road development (killing a lot of snakes), predation by cats and loss of habitat.
