Identification
Very large gecko species reaching a total length of 30 cm. Large triangular head with big round eyes. Coloration is beige-brown to bluish or greenish-grey with warty skin and numerous reddish to pink spots on its whole body.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia, from east India to south China, south to central Indonesia and Philippines. Other subspecies endemic to Bangladesh. Lives in tropical rainforests with rocky outcrops, adapts to all kinds of rural habitats.

Status : The species has a huge range and has been introduced in parts of Asia and America. Its original habitat is under threat but the species is adaptable.
