Identification
Adults can reach 28 cm in length for a weight up to 80 g with males being longer than females. Large triangular head with mobile eyelids, warty skin. Coloration sandy-yellow to beige with black dots, sometimes connected to each other.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in western Asia, from South-East Afghanistan and Pakistan to north-west India. Lives in dry grasslands, rocky areas and deserts.

Status : The species seems relatively common within its range and does not suffer so far from habitat loss.
