Identification
Adults can grow up to 50 cm in length. Triangular head with ridges on sides of snout. Long legs, fat tail. Coloration grey brown with black-edged cream spots on back. Bright yellow lines and yellow and red blotches on flanks.

Range and habitat
This species occurs in Southeast Asia, from central Thailand to Vietnam and south to Malaysia and Sumatra. Lives in loose soil areas in open habitats, mostly in lowlands.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is very common within its range and able to adapt to many kinds of disturbed habitats. It is often collected for the trade but remains safe.
