Identification
Leg span up to 13 cm, body length is about 6.5 cm, smaller for males. Brown tarantula with silvery-grey sheen. Two white-beige bands on legs, becoming a single band then vanishing. Leg segments beige, clear brown hairs.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in Central America, in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Guatemala. Mostly found in open and semi-arid to arid scrubland.
