Identification
The species can reach 10 cm in wingspan. Wings covered with pepper-like iridescent green scales. Hindwings with black edges, elongated tail and two orange spots. Wide blue-green diagonal band spreading on all wings in V shape.

Range and habitat
This subspecies is found from south Myanmar to Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. The species also occurs in the Philippines. Lives in primary and old secondary forests, forest edges.

Status : The species has a relatively large range but is probably declining in many areas because of habitat loss and collection for the trade.
