Identification
The species grows to 11 cm in wingspan. Larger than most Tirumala. Body covered with white spots. Coloration is blackish-brown with thin light blue lines and rows of small blue spots near wing edges. Underside is slightly lighter brown.
Range and habitat
Subspecies found throughout South-East Asia. Species also occurs in south India, Sri Lanka, Greater and Lesser Sundas and Mindanao (Philippines). Lives in woodlands, plantations, forest edges, suburban parks.
