Identification
Adults can grow to a wingspan of 7.5 cm. When folded, wings have a high profile. Dark brown to black edge with two rows of white spots. Wing cells edged black. Inside of cells bluish-white, turning bright yellow on most of hindwing.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia, from Myanmar and Vietnam to Western and Central Indonesia and Western Philippines (Palawan and Balabac). Lives in primary and secondary forests and forest clearings.

Status : The species seems to be reasonably common in suitable habitat within its range. It is apparently extinct in Singapore. Status not assessed yet.
