Identification
Adults can reach a wingspan of 8 cm. Very similar to K. inachus but females are brighter. Males darker blue, white spot away from orange line, forewing less pointed. Orange band thinner and straighter. Underside has faint dark bands.

Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in most of Malaysia, south to Johor. The other subspecies is found in north Malaysia and nearby south Thailand. Lives in humid and moist broadleaf forests, mostly on hillsides.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species status hasn’t been assessed yet but its dependence to humid forests could make it vulnerable to loss of habitat.
