Identification
This species can reach a wingspan of 7 cm. Ground coloration is grey. Underside mottled grey with faint dark eye spots and few orange spots, black transversal line. Upperside with row of dark edges and eye-spots with orange centers.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia, from east India to South China, east to Philippines, south to Indonesia. This subspecies occurs in most of the range. Lives in disturbed areas, forest clearings and edges, agricultural areas, to 1000 m.

Status : The species’ status has yet to be assessed but it is believed to be very common within its huge range and can adapt to man-made environments easily.
