Identification
Large sea anemone reaching a diameter of 20 cm and height of 30 cm. Small tubercles found on the column walls. Tentacles are blunt-ended and greenish to cream with red striations. Body is greenish to red.

Range and habitat
The species is found in the southern Arctic Ocean, north-east Pacific Ocean from Alaska to California and north-west Atlantic Ocean from Greenland to Canada. Often found in sheltered areas on rocky bottoms, down to 30 meters.

Status : The species is locally very common in the wild and has a large range. It isn’t known to face any threats to its long term survival.
