Identification
Round-body tomato-shaped anemone reaching a height of 7 cm and a diameter of nearly 4 cm. Body coloration bright red, brown-red, blue or yellow with small but fairly thick tentacles of same color than body, usually a little clearer.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the north-eastern Atlantic Ocean, from France to Great Britain, including the English Channel and North Sea to Norway. Occurs in rocky areas in shallow water areas, down to 2 meters depth.

Status : The species is very common in its range where rocky coasts are relatively well preserved and can occur in very high densities.
