Identification
Colonies can reach a maximum height of 30 cm. The colony’s main support branch (beige usually) grows from stolons. Small horizontal branches grow from the main branch, with a yellow tip. Each of these branch houses up to 12 polyps.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the north-eastern Atlantic Ocean eco-zone and is endemic to the Mediterranean Sea. Found on rocks, sometimes calcified algae or sediments, to 70 meters.

Status : The species has a limited range but is common although it can be impacted by the rarefaction of Plankton because of pollution and climate change.
