Identification
Adults can reach up to 30 cm in diameter. Its bell is yellow to brown with pale streaks and spots. Often seen upside down, its tentacles are translucent. Its arms are small and equipped with very small white-tipped palpae.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the eastern Indian ocean, around eastern Indonesia and New Guinea. Found in shallow lagoons and intertidal areas with sandy or muddy bottoms, to 30 m.

Status : The species is poorly known and may not be valid. It has a relatively small range but seems to be common and unaffected by any threats.
