Identification
Adults can reach a carapace length of 3 cm and a legspan of 10 cm. Carapace is round, legs are very long and thick. Whole body and legs covered with hair-like extensions used for camouflage. Color is generally beige, cream or white.
Range and habitat
The species lives in the Indo-Pacific area, from Red Sea and East Africa to New Caledonia. Lives in sea-oriented coral-reefs, even in turbid waters, down to 45 m depth.

Status : The species hasn’t been assessed by the IUCN but remains probably common within its very large range. It doesn’t face any major threats.
