Identification
Body length of 97 cm, shoulder height of 60 cm, weight of 20.2 kg. Both sexes show large horns. Long and slender legs but stocky body. Coloration sandy grey to very light beige with white belly and whitish face. Markings are faint.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in Arabian peninsula, from south Syria to Saudi Arabia, isolated populations in Barhain, UAE and Oman. Lives in sandy deserts, rocky plateaus, gravel plains and sometimes steppes.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has undergone rapid declines and extinctions locally but is now being captive bred and reintroduced, especially in the UAE.
