Identification
Body length of 107 cm, shoulder height of 76 cm, weight of 24 kg. Ridged and upward oriented horns, very small for females. Rufous-beige with black band from forelegs to hindlegs on flanks. Dark tail, white belly, black stripes on face.
Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in eastern Africa in Kenya, east of the Rift Valley and in Tanzania. Lives in grasslands with short grass and scattered trees.

Status : This species doesn’t have a very big range and it seems to be declining although no population estimations have been carried recently.
