Identification
Body length of 63 cm, tail length of 66 cm, weight of 11 kg. Mostly grizzled black fur with silvery-grey belly, arms and purple-red hindlegs. Breast with white and orange collar, white face skin with eye-contour more orange, black cap.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-east Asia, in north-central Vietnam from Pu Mat National Park to Chu Mom Ray National park, nearby Laos and north Cambodia. Lives in primary and secondary ever green forests, limestone forests, to 1600 m.

IUCN RED LIST : CRITICALLY ENDANGERED
CITES : Appendix I
Status : The species has a small range and its habitat is being destroyed at an increasing rate. Hunting for the pet trade is a recurring threat as well.
