Notes : No subspecies known.
Identification
Body length of 23 cm, tail length of 29 cm and a weight of 350 g, females being much lighter. Face entirely white with dark pink to black bare skin. Rest of head and breast black. Body grayish-silvery and beige. Ringed tail.
Range and habitat
This species is endemic to eastern Brazil and found near Atlantic coast in Espirito Santo and North to North-East Minas Gerais. Lives in secondary and semi-deciduous forest with dense understory.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species has a fragmented range because of intense destruction of Atlantic forest. Occurs in protected areas where locally abundant.
