Identification
Body length of 50 cm, tail length of 60 cm, weight of 3.7 kg. Very long and thin white tail. Face black with white nose patch and yellow eyes. Fur is silky and white with dark red-brown areas on forelimbs and hindlimbs, extending on belly.
Range and habitat
The species is endemic to Madagascar and only occurs in the north-western parts of the island. Lives in secondary forests, dry deciduous forests, scrubland, up to 300 m.

Status : This species has a restricted range and is particularly threatened by hunting and habitat destruction, even in protected areas.
