Identification
Elongated barrel-shaped body, large red eyes. Coloration dark greenish-brown, back and flanks covered with very thin longitudinal and wavy white lines. Ventral surface of head tinged yellow.

Range and habitat
Range still unclear, originally from Ryukyu Islands (Japan) but observed in Philippines and Mozambique as well. Found near sandy areas amongst reefs and near coastline.

Status : The species has been recently described and even its range is unknown at this time. Its conservation status has yet to be assessed.
