Identification
The species grows to disk width of 160 cm and total length of 450 cm. Very long and thin tail. Dorsal surface yellowish-brown with clumps of brown to black spots forming small rosette-shaped (leopard-like) blotches on whole back and fins.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Indo-Pacific area, from East Africa to India, Peninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra and Borneo, east to the west side of Sulu sea. Lives around sandy and muddy bottoms near coasts, estuaries, to 50 m deep.
