Identification
Adults can reach a maximum length of 7 cm. Unmistakable species. Triangular head, small bright green fins. Dark green body with large oval or round dark blotches with a double black and reddish ring.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Indo-Pacific area, from Philippines and western Indonesia to north-western Australia. Lives on sandy bottoms in sheltered coral reefs, to 20 meters.

Status : This species seems to be locally common in its wide range. Its populations are mostly safe and face no known threats.
