Identification
Adults can reach up to 15 cm in length. Its coloration is light pinkish-white with white edges to fins except from first part of dorsal fins which has a large black edge. Black eyes with small teardrop mark under it.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, from northern Canada (British Columbia) to Baja California peninsula in Mexico. Found on sandy bottoms near rocks, down to 100 meters deep.

Status : The species hasn’t been assessed by IUCN but it seems to be very common over most of its range and appears not to suffer from any threats.
