Notes : No subspecies known.

Identification
Adults can reach a maximum length of 9 cm. Coloration is btright orange with reddish tinge on flanks. All fins orange. White band behind eyes, extending on first third of upper back, white markings on back and tail peduncle.

Range and habitat
Unknown but the species has apparently been caught around the Island of Cebu (Philippines). No habitat information available, probably occurs in reef areas.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : This species’ status has yet to be assessed and it could be classified as threatened if its range is extremely small, which is probably the case. It may be a natural hybrid but this has yet to be proven.
