Identification
The species reaches 5,6 cm in length. Tail fin with red edges and filaments, anal and pelvic fins red. Body color light grey-beige with blue tinge, yellow area on throat, black markings on front rays of dorsal fins, flanks and near eye.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South America, in the Amazon river basin, in the Guaporé and Mamoré river drainages in Bolivia. Lives in rivers and streams.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : This species has yet to be assessed but it has a large range. Habitat loss and collection for trade need to be monitored.
