Identification
Adults can grow to a total length of 12 cm. Warty skin with a distinct back ridge and two rows of warts on upper flanks. Triangular head with warts on side. Coloration dark olive-brown to black with flanks warts having slight orange tinge.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in South-East Asia and is endemic to north-east Vietnam, being found in Bac Giang and Quang Ninh provinces. Lives in lowland evergreen forests with hardwood, bamboo and shrubs, to 550 m.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Appendix II
Status : The species is only known from two locations within its small range, both completely surrounded by agricultural land that keeps growing.
