Identification
Adults can reach up to 5.5 cm in length, males are smaller and only reach 4.5 cm. Coloration generally bright green, sometimes brown, with or without brown speckles. Underside bright yellow with brown markings on legs.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to Taiwan and only occurs in the Nantou County, in northern central part of the Island. Lives in subtropical moist lowland and montane forests, swamps and marshes.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has a very small range. It is threatened by the loss of breeding grounds, especially paddy fields, for establishing cultivated areas.
