Identification
Adults can grow to nearly 10 cm in length. Large head with big black-rimmed yellow-green eyes. Coloration greenish to brown with an opaque waxy cover. White lips line going to mid flanks. Complicated pattern of white lines on belly.
Range and habitat
The species is found in South America, from south-east Bolivia in Gran Chaco area, most of South Brazil, Paraguay and south to Central Argentina. Lives in subtropical dry forests, mostly in small bushes and trees.

Status : The species is listed as Least Concern by IUCN. It is reasonably common and can live in a wide variety of habitats. Often captured for trade.
