Identification
Fairly large species, reaching 11 cm in length. Their skin is smooth and often slightly folded near head. Huge toe pads. Coloration variable, ranging from turquoise to bright green to reddish-brown, sometimes with white or yellow spots.

Range and habitat
The species is found in New Guinea but has a patchy range there. It also occurs in most of Australia, except from central deserts and southernmost areas. Lives in forests, woodlands, grasslands, sometimes far from water. Also swamps.

Status : The species has a tolerance for a wide variety of habitats. It has a large range and is apparently fairly common. It doesn’t face any known threats.
