Identification
Adults can reach a total length of 3.3 cm. Females are larger than males. Smooth skin. Dark green back, broad dull brown band starting from cheeks and running on lower flanks. Yellowish to white belly.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in eastern Asia, from south-east and east China to Taiwan. Possible occurrence in north Vietnam but it is unverified. Occurs in shrubby areas near rice fields, rivers and swamps.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a fairly large range, a good portion of which lies in protected areas. Not known to face any threats at the moment.
