Identification
Adults can reach up to 3 cm in length. Unmistakable species with smooth skin and big eyes. Coloration bright yellow with light beige to brown markings, including a hourglass-shaped spot on back.
Range and habitat
The species is found in Central America, from south Mexico to Panama, then from Colombia to Ecuador. Range is discontinuous. Lives in humid tropical forests, forest edges and disturbed forests, near water.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species is at least locally numerous within its range. It may be trapped for international trade but this isn’t currently considered a threat.
