Identification
Adults can grow to 9 cm in length, females being bigger than males. Marbled eyes with horizontal pupils. Coloration is beige to brown with or without mottling and marbling. Skin is warty and there are two distinctive humps on back.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in eastern and southern Africa from Kenya and eventually south DR Congo to Swaziland and South Africa. Also found in Angola and Zanzibar. Lives in savanna, grassland, shrubland, disturbed forests, woodlands, plantations.

CITES : Not listed
Status : The species is apparently common and very adaptable in terms of habitat choices, often occurring close to human settlement. It faces no current threats.
