Identification
Adults grow up to 2.2 cm in length. Small tubercles found on legs, belly and flanks. Back and legs are dark brown with reddish hue, belly is clear and flanks are dull dark brown. Clear band running on cheeks from under eye to forelegs.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Caribbean islands and is endemic to the eastern half of Tobago island, in Trinidad and Tobago. Lives in forest streams and ponds, usually in shaded areas with rocky banks.

IUCN RED LIST : VULNERABLE
CITES : Not listed
Status : The species has been affected by chytridiomycosis and loss of habitat within its range. It was previously listed as Critically Endangered.
