Identification
The species can reach 4.5 cm in length. Skin mostly smooth with large tubercles. Coloration very variable, from light brown to greenish with three large zones colored green-brown or even black and occasionally faint clear spots.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the island of Madagascar and occurs in many localities scattered about most of the eastern side of Madagascar. Found around rocky streams in rainforests and open woodlands, to 1500 m.

Status : The species has a large range and is locally very common to abundant. It isn’t often collected for trade. It is likely to be a complex of many species.
