Identification
Adults can grow to about 3.5 cm in length. Skin usually relatively smooth, sometimes with small warts. Large head and big eyes. Coloration very variable but usually mottled brown with a dorsal green to beige longitudinal line.

Range and habitat
The species is endemic to the island of Madagascar and occurs in the eastern lowland side of the island with scattered populations in northern half. Lives in primary and secondary rainforests, agricultural areas, to 1750 m.

Status : The species has a large range and is locally very common to abundant. It isn’t often collected for trade. It is likely to be a complex of many species.
