Identification
Males are up to 10 cm in length, females are smaller. Unmistakable species with triangular shaped head. Coloration beige to clear grey with indefinite mottling and fading lines, making this frog look like a dead tree leaf.

Range and habitat
The species occurs in the Solomon Islands archipelago and also on Bougainville and Buka Islands in Papua New Guinea. Lives on the forest floor in rainforests and secondary forests, up to 700 meters.

Status : The species is very common throughout its range and can tolerate habitat changes. It faces no imminent threats and its populations are stable so far.
