Identification
Adults can grow to 26 cm in length for a weight of 81 kg. Green plumage with reddish tail and dark cap. Breast is grey-olive with light edges. This subspecies has dull grey breast, lighter red belly patch and sometimes yellow flanks.
Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in east Bolivia, south-west Brazil and North Paraguay. Species found from west Bolivia to south-west Brazil and North Argentina. Lives in humid tropical and subtropical forests, woodlands, to 2000 meters at least

Status : The species isn’t considered threatened and remains common in most of its range. It is still occasionally caught for the trade but numbers aren’t big.
