Identification
Small fruit-dove species reaching 20 cm in length for a weight of 76 g . White face with bright pink forehead and crown. Grey breast, neck and sides of head. Dark yellow and red lower belly, rest of plumage dark green. Small yellow bill.

Range and habitat
The species is found in Australasia, occurring in West Papuan islands and the upper two-thirds of New Guinea, from east to west. Lives in forests and plantations in areas with high rainfall, from lowlands to 1350 m.

Status : The species seems to remain relatively secure for now. It has a large range and can live in disturbed habitats as long as main resources are available.
