Identification
Horn-colored bill with black band. Green plumage, yellow tinge on belly. Reddish-brown nape, black and white forehead, grey cheeks, yellow and black collar. Red-tipped black tuft above bill.
Range and habitat
Southeast Asia, in extreme south Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra. Found in the canopy of primary and old secondary forests with dense foliage, from 460 to 2100 m.

Status : Restricted-range species with special habitat requirements. Deforestation in most of its range is likely to fragment populations soon and cause steep declines. Monitoring is needed.
