Identification
Female olive-yellow with darker olive wings and clear bill. Males of this subspecies are mostly shiny black with dark rich brown back, rump and lower belly. Yellow eyes and black bill
Range and habitat
Subspecies occurs in western Africa, from Gambia to Liberia, discontinuously to Nigeria. Found in forest clearings, wooded areas, near villages, to 800 m.
