Identification
Dark grey bill. Head and breast light whitish-blue with dense black spotting. Rest of plumage green to lemon-green with dense spotting on belly and wings. Flight feathers green and blue.

Range and habitat
South America, from south Venezuela and Guianas to central Brazil, patchily in Andes from Ecuador to Bolivia. Found in mountain and lowland evergreen forests, plantations.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN
CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species remains listed as Least Concern although declines have been noted, especially in the lowland population, because of habitat loss. Rarely captured for the trade.
