Identification
Fairly large myna reaching 25 cm in length for a weight of 143 g. Yellow legs, yellow bill with blue base, yellow area around eyes. Black head, breast and flight feathers. Rest of plumage dark brown. White rump and wing patch.
Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in Asia from Uzbekistan and north China, south to India, east to Indochina, south to Malaysia. Widely introduced. Lives in all kinds of open countries, including cities and plantations, to 3000 m.
