Identification
Small passerine with a round-shaped body, 9 cm in total length for a weight up to 9 g. Head grey, Back and wings dark brown, breast and belly brownish with a white tinge. Black chin, silvery bill.
Range and habitat
The species is endemic to Madagascar. It lives in shrublands, grasslands, degraded forests, clearings and around human settlements, from sea level to 2000 m.

Status : The species is widespread and very common throughout Madagascar. It’s not affected by the international trade.
