Identification
Adults can reach a body length of 10 cm and a tail length of 15 cm. Fairly stout body, long tail and long, triangular and pointed nose. Coloration generally bright green, sometimes with dark speckling. Lower back often darker green or brown.

Range and habitat
The species occurs from Central Indonesia, Philippines and Taiwan to Solomon Islands, Palau, Micronesia and Marshall Islands. This subspecies is found from central Indonesia to New Guinea. Lives in humid forests, woodlands and areas with tall trees, including palm trees.

Status : The species is at least locally common and doesn’t seem to be threatened although capture for trade occurs.
